All living creatures have an energy field which surrounds and infuses the physical body. This is also called the Auric Field and it has many subtle layers. Our mental and emotional states are stored in the Auric Field, as are memories. Negative experiences, traumas, and imbalances can stay in our energy field and cause unproductive behavioral patterns and eventually illness unless we do something to clear them. Even knowing the cause of the problem doesn’t always provide a solution, if the energy is not moved from the body and bio-field. That is why you often find that even when you think you have solved a problem it continues to recreate in your life.
A person’s energetic system is governed by a set of Chakras or power centres which run along the spine. There are also Meridians which energetically connect our organs to the rest of the body and healing systems like acupuncture and kinesiology are based on these. There is so much more to you than what you can see, and in fact, the condition of the dense or physical body is the result of what is happening in the subtle or energetic bodies.
Many people can’t feel their energy so they don’t think that it exists, but once you learn how to become sensitive to your energetic system your life will never be the same. It opens up a whole new world of possibilities for self-discovery, understanding why things happen, how you can change, what is going on with others, not to mention how to be a better lover. The ability to feel the energy, and to learn how to heal with it, direct it and share it with others is our birthright and a skill which I thoroughly recommend developing. Since 1995 I have studied a number of energy healing systems and have found them all to be very effective. There are many ways of working with energy and as we are complex beings, there are many different kinds of energy which we can work with. In 2003 I developed my own system of energy healing which I have called Soul Weaving.
